“I like having my acting life on the one hand, and something a little rootsier on the other.”
As a plastic arts student, she was chosen by Larry Clark to play one of the lead roles in The Smell of Us. Her performance made a mark and drew the attention of Emmanuelle Bercot, who cast her in his 2015 film Standing Tall. Then Philippe Ramos cast her in Mad Love, in which her pure, innocent blind young character falls mad for Melvil Poupaud. She then played opposite a vengeance-fueled Emmanuelle Devos in Frédéric Mermoud’s Moka, before shining as a hermaphrodite in Bertrand Mandico’s timeless curio The Wild Boys. In 2018 she nabbed the lead role in Hélène Fillières’ Raising Colors, an adrift woman who fervently enlists in the French Navy. That same year, she appeared in Jean-Paul Civeyrac’s A Paris Education, and played a young woman torn between her studies and her heavily handicapped sister in Margaux Bonhomme’s Head Above Water.
