Clémence Poésy has worked over the past 15 years in France, the U.K. and the U.S., with such directors as Philippe Ramos (The Silence of Jean), Martin McDonagh (In Bruges), Danny Boyle (127 Hours), Stanley Tucci (Final Portrait) and Dominik Moll for the series The Tunnel, in which she starred as the heroine for three seasons.
In 2016, she directed her first short film, For a Moment, produced by Silex Films and The National Opera of Paris as part of the 3e Scène series. The film was selected by numerous festivals in France and abroad, including Aesthetica Short Film Festival (England), FIDMarseille and Paris Courts Devant, and received awards from festivals in Romania, Argentina and Spain.
In 2018, she directed the short film King of the Wind Demons as part of the Talents Adami Cannes collection, followed by The Tears Thing in 2019, selected for the Venice Film Festival. She recently appeared in the series Genius with Antonio Banderas, and was part of the cast of Jonathan Jakubowicz’s Resistance alongside Jesse Eisenberg and Félix Moati, as well as Christopher Nolan’s new film Tenet. She is currently filming En thérapie, an Arte series showrun by Éric Toledano and Olivier Nakache and co-directed by Mathieu Vadepied, Pierre Salvadori and Nicolas Pariser.
